The Canisius College Science Camp is a week-long (Monday through Friday) summer program for any students entering 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, dedicated to exploring a breadth of scientific disciplines.  With updates every year, each day is dedicated to a different science concept with a heavy emphasis on the “wow factor”.  Activities throughout the day allow campers to apply their creativity through projects like posters, tie-dye, and custom designing the featured experiments.

The camp is organized by Steven Szczepankiewicz, PhD and Phil Sheridan, PhD in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and operates under the Institute for Transformational Leadership in Education at Canisius College.  A professional staff of teachers creates the modules each year, and passes them to instructors who are looking to explore or refine activities that they can use in their own classrooms.

The campers learn a lot of science, make their own projects, have great meals, run around the quad, take home some materials, and have a great time all around!

Funding generously provided through Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds initiative.
