Welcome to the School of Education and Human Services

Jeffrey Lindauer headshotThank you for visiting the School of Education and Human Services website.  We offer nationally recognized programs in education, administration, counseling, and specialized allied health fields which place students on rewarding paths to success in a variety of careers.  Our programs are well-known for their small class sizes and for the personalized attention students receive from expert faculty.  Quality placements in classrooms and organizations throughout the region provide valuable experience which will prepare you for professional roles.

The School of Education and Human Services houses four departments (Counseling and Human Services, Graduate Education and Leadership, Kinesiology, and Teacher Education) and the Office of Professional Studies, 12 undergraduate majors, 19 graduate programs, and multiple certifications, extensions, and advanced certificates of study.  Many of the graduate programs are offered fully online. In addition, the school houses the Institute for Autism Research and the JUSTICE project.

If you are visiting us from Canada and are interested in fulfilling requirements to teach in Ontario, check out our section on Canadian Teacher Certification.

As you browse, questions may occur to you.  If they are not answered here, please contact the respective Admissions Office or, if you are already a student at Canisius, the Student Advisement Center (undergraduate and transfer students) or your program director (graduate students).  We will be happy to advise and inform you further.
