October 2005  A New Addition to my List

Hi Gang!

So much has happened since my last post, some good and some not-so-good.  Because the positives in life ALWAYS outrank the bad, let me talk about the good.  First, my American Sign Language class has been going great!  Second, all of my classes (except for one) have been going so well, that I think I just might be able to pull off that 4.0 for this semester!  Thirdly, I just found out today that I have been appointed the co-editor of the Quadrangle, which is Canisius’ artistic and literary publication.  Now in addition to working with the Annual Fund (which I will be profiling in my next issue so stay tuned!), the office of Enrollment Management Communication and Technology, being in several clubs and activities, proctoring and already serving as the co-editor of one literary publication (Nia News, which is the publication of the Afro American Society).  I am so excited with this new opportunity and even though my time will be limited (as usual) to relax with friends, I love being involved!

Buffalo is profusely hot today and has been so for some time.  For those of us who enjoy the cold weather, fret not, because with temperatures like these, we are bound to have a fantastically cold winter.  I am anxiously awaiting that!  I know that many of you are taking advantage of this weather while it lasts by soaking up those rays, wearing your open toed sandals, and sporting those flashy sunglasses but gee golly, aren’t you just a little tired of all this heat?
