New Year, New Semester

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and New Year’s.  Christmas was nice to me and I had the opportunity to catch up on some much need sleep after an immensely chaotic semester (which I should note, ended with a 3.88 GPA).  School is back in session and while I would want nothing else but to have an extended vacation, it is time to get back into the proverbial swing of things.

This is my last semester as an undergraduate student and I am very excited to be graduating, primarily because I know that with my accomplishments and first-rate Canisius College, the opportunities that await me are infinite!  I am taking some interesting classes this semester and one happens to be a graduate class, which I absolutely love!  My most favorite class, however, would have to be my Internet and Society class where we learn about the Internet and its influences on life at both the micro and macro levels.  My other classes include: American Sign Language 104 (with lab), Mass Communication and Society and Abnormal Psychology.  I think this semester could be the one in which I finally get a 4.0 but we shall wait and see.

For those of you who may be wondering if I have any post undergraduate plans I would first like to tell you to fret not, because I indeed do have plans.  Graduate school is definitely something I will be doing and I hope to find a part-time job.  I have already been accepted into Canisius’ School of Education and Human Services where I am apart of the Counselor Education program.  I am also applying to another local graduate program in school counseling.  Because I have been very fortunate to have received a comprehensive academic scholarship at the undergraduate level, I am leaving Canisius debt free and because of that, I am not concerned about financing my graduate school education.

For those of you who are applied to Canisius and have been accepted, good luck; to those of you who have applied and are waiting for a reply, good luck; and for those of you who are considering Canisius, I encourage you to apply.  Remember that you can always call our Office of Undergraduate Admissions toll-free at 1-800-843-1517.

I thought you all might like to see a little of Campion Hall, a.k.a the
Intercultural Living Center, where I live.  This picture shows just a bit of
our huge beautiful kitchen!

Here's the lounge.

And don't forget the pool room!
