"Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together." -- Vincent Van Gogh

Hello everyone!
I thought that I would start off with the above quote because in contemplation of my college experience, I have found that the path to greatness is ultimately the end result of a series of little things—whether they be volunteering, committing a good deed, acing a test, or simply living by the very same standards that you hope to be judged by. As you all are all aware, I am graduating this year, yes everyone, off to the real world of graduate school, work and responsibility. In my four years here at Canisius I can honestly say that I have done exactly what I have come here to do: make a lasting and significant impression. The college experience is one of the best experiences anyone could ever ask for and I encourage everyone to enjoy it, at least once.
As you prepare for whatever it is you have set your sights on—and hopefully, that will include enrolling at Canisius hint, hint—remember that greatness should always be the paramount goal. Never settle for mediocrity for we have an abundance of that in the world. We need more undaunted leaders, more staunch advocates and more greatness in the world; if we succeed in this endeavor that will be the true measure of our worth as people and as a society.
Until next time…
