September 2005 Getting Back
Hi Gang!
School is back in session and I am up and running full blast! As a senior, I am looking forward to completing these last two semesters here at this awesome school and to venture off into a new chapter of my life. Okay, enough with all of those future plans.
This semester I am taking some amazingly interesting classes this year: American Sign Language (which I love because I get to learn some cool expressions and phrases!), Crime and Society, The Feminine Role in Religion, The Environment and Society, Interpersonal Communication, and a lab one day a week for my Sign Language class so that I can reinforce what I learn in class.
As some of you may be aware, Canisius College has stepped up to the plate to assist many of the displaced students affected by Hurricane Katrina. We currently have students on campus from Tulane, Loyola (one of our fellow Jesuit institutions) and the University of New Orleans. This is certainly a tragic time for the nation especially those from Louisiana, but the benevolence and hospitality shown by Canisius and the world reinforces the ideals we as an academic institution hold most near and dear: leadership and service.
To learn more about Canisius please visit our website at www.canisius.edu, or if I can be of assistance, email me at harrisb@canisius.edu.
