“Have a Magical Day!”

So this is the spot in the semester where all of your classes have exams at the same time, or at least within a couple weeks of each other. By this point, my senior year, you would think I would be used to it but of course I am not. I am attempting to keep on top of things though. I have been going to the library almost every day to work on assignments and studying as much as possible before my exams. But… I do have to take a break every once in awhile.

This past weekend we had our annual fall break for Columbus Day! This was the first time I went away in quite some time, and it was exactly what I needed. I went to Orlando, Florida/Disney World for four days of relaxation and fun. It also worked as a good stress reliever because I did not think about all the work I had to do. My friend Mike’s parents have a time-share with Disney World, so I was able to stay on the grounds for free! Unfortunately, the rest of the expenses cost me around $600 by the time the weekend was over, but it was well worth it.

I went with my friend Mike, his sister Erin, and her friend Sarah. While in Disney World we visited all the parks (Epcot, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom). My favorite park was Epcot because they have all the different countries with different foods, music, and rides.

My favorite country in Epcot was Japan! The food was amazing!!! We went to a restaurant where they make the food in front of you. It was the best food I have ever eaten!! I had seaweed salad, California sushi rolls, rice, scallops, chicken, water greens, and amazing green tea. It definitely cost a lot, but it was well worth it. Also, my favorite rides in Disney World would have to be Slash Mountain (Magic Kingdom), Aerosmith Roller Coaster (MGM Studios), Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom), Dinosaurs (Animal Kingdom) and Everest (Animal Kingdom).

It was definitely sad leaving Florida and finding out that it is going to rain/snow this weekend, but I am glad to be back on my home turf. In the next couple weeks I will have three exams, hand in three decent size papers, and take the GRE’s!! Ahhh, pretty scary, but I am sure there will have my friends around to keep me sane and it is all leading up to my graduation in May (the big pay off). So I am keeping my head up, knowing that once the next couple week are over I will be past one of the toughest part of the semester and I will also be turning 21! I guess you’ll see how it all turns out next time…
