"So Long; Farewell..."

I can’t believe I have already reached the end of my journal writing career! This has been one quick year, that’s for sure. As I reach the end of the semester, the papers are really starting to pile up again. Although, for the first time, I don’t mind it! It’s crazy to think that this is the last time (I hope) that I will be taking 6 classes at a time. Next year, when I am in graduate school, I only have 3 classes a semester. All of those are 1 day a week, 3-hour classes, too! So I will only be in the classroom 2 days a week for 9 hours. I am pretty excited about that.

I am getting ahead of myself though. There is still much more to be excited about this spring semester. Spring Fest is fast approaching and I cannot wait! Spring Fest is one of the most exciting days of the semester. All of campus comes together as one to celebrate the end of the year and it’s just a really great time. It’s just something you have to experience yourself, its tough to explain. But everyone loves the Chiavettas barbeque, bounce house, and abundance of carnival games they have at our Koessler Athletic Center!  We also have a different name for it here. We call it “Quad Party” because of our grassy “quad” area between our academic and residence hall buildings that some events take place in.

After Quad Party, there is exam week. I have 6 exams scheduled that week and it is my last week as an undergraduate student! It’s still a pretty scary thought. Then before I know it, May 19th will arrive and I will be walking across the stage at graduation receiving my diploma for four years hard work! Yeahhh!!!

After graduation, like I have said before, I will be staying at Canisius College for my Masters of Education in College Student Personnel Administration. I will also be moving off-campus, into an apartment with my friend Mike. That is one responsibility I am definitely looking forward to. It is going to be really cool to have my own place and be able to do whatever I want.

So this looks like the end… it’s been a great year being a journal writer for you and I hope I helped give you a look at Canisius from a students point of view. This is me signing off… adios!
