Request for Diploma Form: Graduate Candidates
To qualify for a Master's degree, a candidate must complete all graduate-level coursework and requirements as outlined in the Graduate catalog for the program in which they are enrolled. See the table below for deadlines on when to apply. The web application will allow master's level candidates in Graduate Education to request their diploma or request to walk at the May graduation ceremony. Candidates must have 12 credit hours or less to complete in summer or fall in order to walk at the ceremony. The diploma will be awarded when the credit hours are completed.
Degrees are awarded during the annual May commencement ceremony on the date designated in the college academic calendar. Candidates completing degree requirements in August or December may obtain their diploma before the next commencement. The deadlines are listed below:
|Requirements Completed By:||Diploma Request Form is DUE||Diploma will be Available|
|In May||December 15||After Commencement|
|In August||August 1||After September 15|
|In December||December 1||After February 1|
It is the responsibility of all candidates, regardless of when their requirements are completed (May, August or December), to fill out the Request for Diploma form notifying the School of Education that they intend to graduate. This form includes information on how the candidate's name should appear on the diploma, where the diploma should be mailed and transfer credits.
