What is the deadline for applying?

Applications are processed on a rolling basis and considered as they are received. We recommend submitting all application materials at least 60 days prior to the start of the term you wish to begin in order to have time to complete visa requirements.

When are your program offered?

There are three terms per year: fall (late August), spring (January) and summer (May/June). Check the webpage of your program of interest to find out your start date options.

How do I schedule for class?

All scheduling/registration of classes is done online.

What is the cost of tuition?

Tuition is $765 USD per credit.

Is the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or GMAT required?

The GRE is not required for education or sport administration. Business programs require either the GMAT or the GRE.

Where can I get information about Financial Aid?

You may contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance in financing your education at Canisius by calling 716-888-2300 or 800-541-6348 (toll-free). Canadian students are eligible for Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

One Year MBA students who score a 600 or higher on the GMAT are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship.

Is there a tuition payment plan?

Is housing available?

Campus housing for graduate students is available. Once accepted, contact the Office of Residence Life at 716-888-8300 for more information and/or to reserve your space.

Can I take the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests to meet the prerequisite requirements?

Yes, students can take examinations sponsored by CLEP, the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or by the New York State College Proficiency Examination Program (CPE). Students must consult with the appropriate dean for permission to use any credit by examination toward their graduate degree or certificate requirements.

Will I be able to teach in Ontario after completing the certification program?

Yes. Once requirements are complete, Canadian students will apply to the New York State Department of Education for certification. New York will then pass certification information to the Ontario College of Teachers to issue the appropriate certification in Ontario.

What are the Immigration requirements to attend?

How do US college/university credit hours equate to credits in Canada?

3 credit hours=1 half year course
6 credit hours=1 full year course

Will OAC courses count toward the prerequisite course requirements?

Yes, OAC and grade 13 can be used as prerequisite course requirements for Canadian students.
