Volunteering at Canisius
Hello everyone!
I guess fall is finally here. Buffalo has the most beautiful fall foliage. It’s especially pretty around Canisius because of Delaware Park. I’ve been so busy these past couple of weeks; managing work, volunteering and studying gets kind of hectic. I’m so glad I finished all my midterms. I had five midterms within a two-week period. Not fun!
I recently started volunteering at Gloria Parks, which is a non-profit community center for all ages. Our Campus Ministry Office is really good about providing opportunities to those students who are interested in service activities. They promote and coordinate service projects such as Winter Service Week in NYC, Alternative Spring Break, and Project Mexico. If you’re interested in volunteering but don’t know exactly where to go, Campus Ministry has all the resources to hook you up with the perfect place to volunteer.
Freshmen year I volunteered at the Central Church Community Center and tutored middle school students. This year at Gloria Parks I work with kids of all ages for three hours once a week. I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to volunteer at different places each year. Even though things have been busy it's been nice to still take some time during the week to help others.
Talk to you soon!

There is always time for fun too. This is Matt and I getting ready to see Rascal Flatts at the HSBC arena. We took the subway down which was completely full of Canisius students, it was so much fun!
