12-06-04    Happy Holidays!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  This year I spent my first Thanksgiving away from home here in Buffalo.  I’ve come to the conclusion that Buffalo has some of the most hospitable people.  Angela, who works in the Admissions office, invited me to her house for Thanksgiving.  Even though I wasn’t with my actual family I still felt right at home.  So if any of you are pondering with the idea of moving far away for college and you’re worried about not making it home for all the holidays don’t worry any more.  The faculty at Canisius is very welcoming; I’m sure Angela will have you over.

The three weeks of classes between Thanksgiving and Winter break are always the busiest weeks of first semester.  It’s full of projects, tests, last minute studying and of course the dreaded final exams.  Fun stuff!!!  I’m so glad I have my roommates to help me get through it.  My roomies do a great job of helping me stress less.  For study breaks during this time we’ve gone the watch the Canisius basketball team play against Fairfield, take turns making dinner for each other, go dancing downtown and oh yeah, have random 2 AM snowball fights.

My last final is December 17th, then its time to fly back to Oklahoma for Christmas!!  I love Canisius, but there is nothing like time with the family around the holidays.  I wish you all an awesome winter beak and I will talk to you next year!
