02-24-05 Times Flies….
Hey Guys!
Time really flies when you’re having fun! I can’t believe I am a second semester sophomore! These past couple of weeks I’ve done so much. I met with a career counselor, went skiing for the first time and went home with my roommate for our four day break.
All of a sudden I started thinking; I am almost a junior in college! Do I really know what I want to do with the rest of my life? Currently, my major is marketing and I am in the special program that Canisius has with the Fashion Institute of Technology. So when I graduate I will receive a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Canisius and an associate bachelor’s degree from FIT. But what exactly can I do with this major? How much money can I earn? Is there a major that is better suited for my interests and abilities? I brought all of these questions to our Career Center.

Lots of College students have doubts and concerns about what to major in and what kind of career they want to have later on down the road. Our Career Center is a great source of information; their job is to assist students on their journey to finding a career that is best suited for them. So far they have helped me a bunch. They answered all my questions and even gave me a career assessment questionnaire which is a helpful tool to make sure my interests match my career choice.
Because of all the help the Career Center provided me, I definitely think sticking with the marketing major is best for me. And if you aren’t sure what you want to do for the rest of your life or major in, I’m sure that career center can help you out too.
