Getting Things Done Before Thanksgiving

Hello everyone!

I can definitely tell the end of the semester is near.  I’m starting to feel the time constraints of only having a few weeks left and a ton of work to accomplish.  It seems like all professors assign huge projects during the same time frame.  Usually this wouldn’t be a problem because I’ve always had a workstudy job where my bosses have been understanding and accommodating to student’s schedules.  

Now that I’m interning in the fashion world it’s a totally different story.  There have been many nights where I stayed and worked extra hours just to get things done.  So far I’ve learned that the fashion industry is a demanding,  fast paced industry where time is money and efficiency in everything you do is key.  Although interning and keeping up with my schoolwork can be very stressful, the internship has definitely been worth it.  I am learning how to prioritize tasks and the essential skill of time management.  Sometimes I’m given three projects to complete at the same with deadlines to be met and I have no choice but to get everything done - correctly and on time!

At the same time, right now I’m working on final class projects for three different classes.  I have a designer project, a promotions and advertising presentation, and a store comparison project.  Everything should be completed by next weekend, and I’m heading to Boston for Thanksgiving and some much needed rest and relaxation.
