My Last Journal...as a Junior

Hello everyone!

I’m sad to say my time at Canisius College is about to come to an end with only two weeks left of classes. The past three years I’ve spent here have probably been the best three years of my life. College life has taught me how to step away from my comfort zone by living on my own and how to juggle a social life with studying.

Coming in as a freshman I had my doubts and I remember questioning myself as to whether I could really handle it. Can I handle college life? Can I move away from my family and make new friends? To be successful in college you have to come in with a positive attitude and be willing to work hard. Most importantly, in college you have complete independence so what you make of it is up to you. My advice would be to live college life to the fullest by being involved, staying focused, joining clubs and organizations and meeting as many new people has you can. If you follow this advice I’m sure you will leave college with many great memories and many opened doors.

While at Canisius I experienced living in a new city, meeting wonderful people from all over and being known as the girl all the way from Oklahoma. Next August I’ll be starting school in NYC through a program that Canisius has in conjunction with the Fashion Institute of Technology. Lucky for you guys I will be journaling from FIT. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!!
