Registration
It can be a littler nerve-racking when you know that you only have a couple of seconds to beat the entire freshmen class to get to the classes you want. It feels a lot like a race. But I was fully prepared.

I had created two different schedules and even a list of alternative times that would work and for which schedule they would work for. I looked online to see which classes had the least amount of space and would, therefore, fill up the fastest. I talked to my advisor, who told me exactly how to register. I felt pretty confident when I dragged myself out of my bed at 8:50 on this all important Saturday morning. I might have been half asleep, but I knew what I was doing.
I had my pin number already typed in and was anxiously watching the clock on the computer, waiting for it to change to 9 o’clock. Thankfully all of my preparations paid off. I only had to make one small alteration to my first choice schedule, but nothing that I couldn’t live with. I have a feeling though that if I had waited so much as five minutes later to registration that I wouldn’t have gotten into any of the classes I wanted.
When I checked back later that day, all of my classes were full. One of my classes filled up in the ten seconds it took me to try and sign up. All of my friends tell me how they also got up at 9 o’clock in the morning to register. It was an experience. This was the first time that I personally had to make up my schedule and I have a new respect for anyone who has to do that for a living.
