12-2003 -- Finals Week

Hello everyone…

Vacation has started and it is great.  It's nice to be home and relax after a busy semester, but I am looking forward to getting back on campus for the spring semester.

For this entry, I want to take you back to the end of last semester.  I got really sick with a sinus infection the week of December 1, the week before finals week, which made things a little crazy.

As the weekend ended and Finals week began I started to chop away at all of my work which included: A portfolio, 3 papers, a religion project, a project for my advertising class, a speech, and then there is just regular studying for finals. I spent my entire Sunday in the library.

My first test was in Tuesday so I wasn’t too panicked I had a little bit of time. I studied, finished up a paper, worked all of my jobs on campus and managed to put in a whole day in the office. This I normally was unable to do because of all of the work that I already have to do for class.

The rest of the week was spent fighting off sickness, trying to keep warm, finishing up all of my work and doing laundry so that I could pack and go home. It was tough but I was able to do it. The good news is that I feel very comfortable with my work and I think I did well. There is of course only one way to find out and that is to get the grades back from the teachers.

The best part of the week was giving my speech. I felt like a nervous wreck before hand but when I finished I felt great not only because I got it over with but also because it was the last thing of the semester that I had to do academically and I was looking forward to coming to Florida to see my family. I don’t mean to tease but it is so warm and nice here. The only thing is my mom is working and my brothers will be in school…well the whole part about my brothers being in school isn’t too bad (lol) but my mom will be working and that means that I don’t or wont have much to do at all except for work out.

Hopefully everything will go great this break as well as next semester. Til next time…

Here is a lovely palm tree from my home in Florida --
Don't worry, I'll have photos from Canisius next time!
