November Journal
Time Flies

The month of October and the beginning of November have gone by so incredibly fast. I guess it’s true when they say time flies when you’re having fun! In my last journal I mentioned that I would be taking a trip to Canada with my four roommates to see Wicked... and of course to shop! I wasn’t sure if my roomies would be as into the show as I was, but as soon as the curtain rose up, we were all in awe and loved every second of the performance! It was fabulous and I highly recommend it to anyone with even the slightest interest. Canisius is great with offering so many unique opportunities like this, so keep your eyes open!
Backtracking just a bit, I’m sure you’ve heard about the early October snowstorm. This completely blew me out of the water, I had never seen snow that early… one week after my birthday?! But all in all, the situation was not that bad for me. After all, we got off of three days of classes, how can you complain about that?! Mother Nature must have been giving us all a taste of what’s in store for this upcoming winter.

On another note, school work is finally picking up the pace to say the least. Trying to manage my time between classes, studying, cheerleading and some sleep can be quite difficult at times, but a little sacrifice on a Friday night never hurt anyone, eh? Which brings me to my next point; this new habit of saying “eh” has really got my friends confused. I’ve made so many friends here; two of my best include Mark and Chris from Canada, so you can wonder why I am consistently using their lingo… its catchy!
Last Thursday Canisius held Pack the KAC which was so much fun! It was the Canisius College Cheerleader’s first debut. Tons of students attended to show school spirit. The following day was the men’s and women’s first basketball game, the entire Koessler Gymnasium was full with friends and family cheering for our girls who won and our boys who came so close, 69 to 70, to almost defeating UB. Both games were extremely exciting, point-for-point shots and C-Block in the background made it an unforgettable night. I can’t wait to see what the rest of November has in store!
Here we are before Pack the KAC!
