Spring Semester

Hi everyone! I hope all is going well. This past semester I have noticed so many high school seniors checking out Canisius as a possibility for one of their college choices. Well, if any of you ladies and gentlemen are reading this there are a few things you should know: Canisius is the best, you should apply to Canisius, and when you are accepted you should attend Canisius! Plain and simple.

There are so many events here at Canisius, pretty much on a daily basis. My favorite so far has been sumo wrestling! I was lucky enough to have my family visiting for the weekend; and with my mom, cousin, and his wife cheering us on, my dad videotaped while my brother and I hopped into those hilarious costumes and wrestled each other to the ground (then resembling a turtle on its back once we reached the ground)! Luckily there is so much happening on campus that not having a car isn't a problem, when I originally thought it would be.

Here is a picture from NYC - it's great to have pictures from home around!

All my roomies are still doing great, but being a college student there is one thing I've had to learn quickly. Communication is SO important! I will love my roomies until the end of time, but small little misunderstandings are bound to happen. Talk about it and keep others in consideration because it will almost always make a happy situation for everybody.

New Year's Eve with my friends from home

We've only been back to school for about a month since our Christmas vacation, and I'm so happy to be back! During that month I missed my roomies and all the friends I've made thus far. These bonds I've created are for sure going to be everlasting.

Considering I'm already in the middle of a few midterms, this school year is almost to an end. Wow, it's been flying by! Another thing that has almost come to an end is cheerleading. Our men's and women's basketball teams have put so much effort into their entire season and it has sure paid off. The first weekend of March the basketball teams, along with the cheerleaders, will be attending the MAAC Tournament in Connecticut! It will be a long drive, but well worth it. So let’s cross our fingers that we win, because Florida could be the next big step for our men's or women's team!

The fabulous Canisius Cheerleading Squad!

So for any of the future students of Canisius College, keep in mind what I've said. My decision to attend Canisius has been one of the best decisions I've made! Ciao for now! =)
