                                  Spring Break!

Spring Break was amazing and of course flew by! I took the 20 hour drive down to sunny Florida and had the time of my life. I experienced being only a few feet away from a baby giraffe and tons of other animals at Animal Kingdom. I also went on rides and finished the night off with a spectacular firework show at Magic Kingdom. Driving my car right onto the beach and a friendly smile where ever I looked; yep, Daytona Beach was sure a hotspot.

Firework show at the Magic Kingdom!

The weather was beautiful every single day, except for the thunderstorm on one of our last nights, but at a place with so many shows, the storm seemed to be a show itself and was well appreciated for the light and sound effects it provided. I had a glorious time, that is, until the ride home. Not only were we coming home from fabulous weather on our vacation, back to reality and snow, but our car decided to break down. If it broke down in Florida I wouldn’t have had such a problem, but of course, it was Pennsylvania. Thankfully everything was fixed in no time, and for a small fee of only $800! Talk about an expensive vacation! A small side point: magazines such as Teen Vogue and Seventeen feature safety tips aimed towards college students taking Spring Break Vacations. I found it very informative, useful and important to take a look at what they had to say, so if you are planning a trip, I highly suggest at least a glance at these tips. All in all I would not change a thing about my vacation because I’ve made memories that will last me a lifetime.

Having fun in Daytoa Beach :)

For any other students reading my journal, I’m open to share what may be a common feeling. Housing selections were completed last week and the reality of becoming a sophomore is beginning to set in. I did not get my first choice housing but I was lucky enough to get my second choice. Unfortunately, my current roommate Mari won’t be at Canisius next year, but I have made so many new and incredible friends that I’ve decided to room with on of my cheerleading friends and a mutual friend of ours! I am really looking forward to next year!
Talk to you soon!
