Summer is Ending

The summer is ending.  I just completed RA training and bought my text books, notebooks, and folders.  Classes are starting, and soon!

Since I am an resident assistant (RA) for the academic year, I am required to complete two weeks of training.  For the past two weeks, I have listened to lectures and participated in group exercises about diversity, community builders, college policy, you name it!  Though it is all very interesting, it is extremely tiring.  For an overnight, the RA staff went to the Fredonia State College Lodge.  There, we did the ropes course and other team-building exercises.  When we got back on Sunday, I slept for 16 hours straight!  With all this training, I am very ready and excited for the school year to start.

The summer is ending.  Sunset by the Marina downtown.

Though the summer is coming to a close and I will miss spending lazy days on the beach, I am ready to start classes.  I have already bought my school supplies and text books.  I am excited for all the activities that are planned for the fall.  I think that this school year will be both challenging and fun.
