Sabres Fever
One of the best things about living in Buffalo has to be Sabres fever. As it gets closer and closer to the playoffs, the excitement about winning the Stanley Cup rises. Nearly everyone watches the Sabres games, and if they don’t, they’re usually still interested in the outcome of the games.
Last Friday, a bunch of my friends and I went to the restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game. Everyone else in the restaurant was also there to watch the game. A couple tables over from where my friends and I were sitting, there was a group of people all dressed in Sabres jerseys with a homemade Stanley Cup in the middle of their table! The atmosphere for watching the game was electric. When the Sabres started to make their big comeback in the third period, everyone in the restaurant cheered (except for a few Maple Leaf’s fans that were there).

Buffalo Wild Wings isn’t the only great place to go to watch a game. I’ve been to Pearl Street Bar and Grill for a game before, and it was also a lot of fun. I know that a lot of the other RA’s have dinner parties during games with pizza and wings so that a lot of people in the residence halls can watch them together. Watching the Sabres games in a large group or just with a few friends is definitely a fun thing to do in Buffalo!
