Spring Break

Scott Aspinall

Yo, how’s it going all?  I’ve had a busy month this time and have got lots of good information for you.  So just sit back, put your trays in the upright and locked position and enjoy the trip.

Spring break has finally arrived!  Unfortunately, so has midterm week… Needless to say, the week before Spring break was very hectic and stressful.  I had three midterms to study for along with all the usual homework from my other classes.  With baseball starting to get into full swing and the acquisition of an N64 with Mario Kart, my studying wasn’t looking good.  Finally I was able to buckle down and do some serious studying which I badly needed.  Thankfully, I was able to pull an 81, 87 and 98 on the midterms so I was pleased with those results.

Now that all my tests are over, it was time to go home!  A buddy of mine from home and I took the bus from Buffalo all the way to NYC and then a train to Long Island.  This was quite an experience and I never want to do it again.  We had to walk eight blocks and one avenue to get into the train station with all of our heavy bags after we got off the bus.  Once we got home, it was all worth it though.  I got to see my family and surprised my little brother and one of my best friends.  Most of my other friends had had their Spring break the week before so we got to hang out on Saturday but after that it was just the three of us.  For the majority of the week I watched some college hoops on HD which was awesome and played basketball with my brother.

Did a little wakeboarding while I was home...and yes
I'll admit it was somewhat chilly!

Last but not least, when I got back to school, our intramural floor hockey season started.  A bunch of people from my floor and I made a team and it was time to find out how good we really are.  Thankfully we dominated the game from the get-go.  I scored our first goal within the first two minutes of the game and we went on from there to win 9-1.  If you love to play sports, Canisius has a great intramural program and if they don’t have it, you can ask them to get it.
Well, I’ve run out of room so hopefully this will satisfy you until next time.

Playing some b-ball in the Patrick Lee Center.

Until we meet again, I’ll leave you with this:
