Transfer Student Admissions
Make the Move to Canisius
If you have previous college credits from a two-year college or another four-year institution, we welcome you to join the Canisius College student body. Any applicant who has enrolled in courses at another college or university after the completion of high school must apply as a transfer student.
Preliminary Online Credit Evaluation
Canisius now offers a Preliminary Online Credit Evaluation - please click here to access this tool.
Please note that it is our policy to accept a grade of C- or higher if an associate’s degree has not been obtained prior to transferring to Canisius College. If an associate’s degree has been received, a grade of D or higher will be accepted for credit.
Students may transfer a maximum of 90 credits; of that amount, a maximum of 60 credits will be awarded for courses from 2-year schools. Every effort is made to award transfer credit for courses which will fulfill requirements in your chosen program of study.
