If you are approved for admission as a transfer student, your transcripts will be evaluated by the Student Records Office. This evaluation will include a listing of all college courses and credits that are transferable, as well as their equivalent value to the Canisius degree program for which you are applying. Students who transfer with an associate’s degree are given junior standing.

Please note that it is our policy to accept a grade of C- or higher if an associate’s degree has not been obtained prior to transferring to Canisius College. If an associate’s degree has been received, a grade of D or higher will be accepted for credit
Students may transfer a maximum of 90 credits; of that amount, a maximum of 60 credits will be awarded for courses from 2-year schools. Every effort is made to award transfer credit for courses which will fulfill requirements in your chosen program of study.
All evaluations are done in accordance with the college's accreditation policies and, generally, are mailed within two weeks of your acceptance.
