If you have already filed or re-filed the FAFSA for the 2010-2011 academic year, please remember to add Canisius so that we may receive our information and put together a package for you. Conditions of Acceptance

  • Your acceptance letter may indicate an estimated number of credit hours.  Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary estimate.  The Office of Student Records will send you a formal credit evaluation within three weeks.
  • If you have been accepted to Canisius College prior to the completion of current coursework at another college, you are required to submit a final official transcript once you have completed all of your coursework.
  • In addition, if you have not already submitted a completed Transfer Recommendation Form, you should make arrangements to have that completed by a Dean of Students or another appropriate individual at your current or most recent academic institution.

  • Transfer students, like all Canisius students, receive individual assistance with registration from an academic advisor. A tuition deposit is required before any student may register for classes. After paying your tuition deposit, a letter will be sent to you about registering for classes and will include the name of your advisor.
  • You will need to contact your advisor to arrange an appointment to register.  If distance is a problem, a phone appointment can be arranged.
  • Registration for transfer students will begin in late May/early June, depending on your program of study.

  • If you plan to live on campus, please be sure to complete the transfer student housing form you can access on once you have paid your deposit.  **We cannot accept your transfer housing form until your deposit is paid.
  • If you would like to learn more about the housing at Canisius, we encourage you to visit our campus and/or visit the Residence Life web page.
