My favorite thing about Canisius is: The fact that it feels like a community. When you walk down the hallway, people always say hello. When you walk into a building, someone will always hold the door. I feel that we all share our love of Canisius College and it shows throughout campus.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The opportunities that are available to everyone. We have a number of sports on campus and nearly any major that you might be interested in. I also like the one on one interaction between students and teachers. All of my professors know my name and I feel very comfortable approaching them about any problem I may have.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: I love how close everyone is at the school.  You can always see a familiar face when you turn the corner.  Not to mention everyone here is so friendly. The small classes make it easier to develop a relationship with your professors as well, so you can always go to them for help with classes or for advice about the future. It helped make my transition into college so much easier since I feel so comfortable here; I consider Canisius College my home.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: Setting the world on fire, the Jesuits, other faculty (professors to custodians), MAGIS, convenient location, being photographed by Father Bucki, tea with Dr. Forest, getting wise with Dr. Capezzi on 9th floor of Churchill tower, piano lessons with Mrs. Schmid, chats with Father Tom, etc.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The sense of community. We truly are a family. People smile and greet each other and will go out of their way to do nice things for one another. It has been so easy for me to meet new people and make friends here. I know that the friends I have met at Canisius will be my friends for life - that's the kind of people we have at our school.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The attitudes of the people I've found here. From shooting hoops at Koessler to taking advanced Calculus courses, whether it be the Division 1 players or the smartest kids in the class or even the teachers themselves, if you just go up to them and say hi the next thing you know they're giving you pointers. Here at canisius all it takes is a simple "hello" to spark a friendship. It's about more than just an education here at Canisius, it's about experiencing all aspects of life.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The warm and welcoming atmosphere that the college provides. The professors put forth a lot of time and effort to make bonds with their students to ensure success. Not only are the bonds between students and professors strong, but the bonds between individuals of the student body are incomparable.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: One of the most unique things is the love that the people have on this campus. Most people here have a genuine love for each other, and the school itself. This school has become home to so many people and that is something that you cannot get everywhere. Canisius as a whole creates such a loving and caring campus, in and out of the classroom, making the ENTIRE college experience four years of life that will always be in my heart.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: I love that we are a small school, as everyone seems to know each other, which makes meeting and assimilating into groups of friends very easy. The class sizes make it so that students have great communication with professors.  I love how the school is dedicated to serving not only the students but the surrounding community. I love all that the college has to offer in terms of clubs, sports, and activities.  Plain and simple I love everything about this college.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: How easy it is to get involved and feel like a part of the community. Not only is it really easy to find clubs for any given interest, but it's just as easy to start one for any given interest. There are countless majors, programs, and extra-curriculars that you can be a part of. This is what makes Canisius so great and epitomizes the "Where Leaders Are Made" slogan.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The opportunities that it has given me. I have been able to study abroad in Ireland for a semester, to spend two weeks in Jamaica on a service trip, and to take multiple trips through the College Democrats. Further, all of the extra-curricular activities that I have been given the chance to be involved in has helped me grow immensely as a person, so that I can be ready to move on to a new chapter in my life when I graduate.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The community. Everyone here genuinely cares about each other and there is always someone there for you for support and celebration. It's not only your fellow students who create this community; the faculty, professors and administration of the college are always there for you as well. It is like one big family at the college and students are always looking to join together for fun and learning.  If there is not a club already available to meet needs, the college makes it easy to start another club on the campus.  If you want to get involved, there are million opportunities on campus!

My favorite thing about Canisius is: The size, I like how I can walk down the street and know almost every other person. And I also like the class size; some of my classes are less than 20 so your professor really gets to know you, not just your face.

My favorite thing about Canisius is: That since I arrived on day one of my college experience, I have never felt alone, unhappy, or uninterested. Canisius has given me the opportunity to make my collegiate experience not only engaging and enlightening, but it has allowed me to do things that I never thought possible. I tried new things that I might have considered to be outside my comfort zone, like join mock trial and run for Senator in the Undergraduate Student Association, and see how things went.

How often can you say at a large college does your teacher know you on a person level, hold office hours to help their students understand class material, and respond to your email within the same day? Only at Canisius do students get the attention and resources they need to help them advance to their future careers.
