BUFFALO, N.Y. (WNED) - Western New Yorkers are observing Veterans Day with numerous ceremonies across the region.

The Canisius College Office of Veterans Services and Army ROTC hosted Veterans Day events to remember the sacrifices of America’s 25 million veterans.
Canisius President John J. Hurley and Coordinator of Veterans Services Andrew Overfield cut the ribbon on the Canisius Veterans Lounge during a ceremony in Lyons Hall Room 118. The Veterans Center Lounge provides an area for students to relax, study and socialize with other veteran students, and have access to the coordinator of both on- and off-campus support resources.
