Vincent D. Clark '97
Vincent Clark '97 is senior development officer at Medaille College.  He handles government relations and corporate foundation relations for the college.  His previous work with Rep. Jack Quinn NY-27 as director of grants helped bring millions of dollars to Western New York in federal appropriations.

Clark was the first African American president of the Undergraduate Student Association (USA) at Canisius College. He has been involved with alma mater in various capacities. Currently, he serves as an advisory board member of Canisius College National Youth Sports Program and joined the college’s alumni association board of directors on July 1, 2003 for a three year term.


Nora Eberl '92
A 1992 graduate of Canisius College, Nora Eberl has remained actively involved with alma mater. As immediate president of the Alumni board, she followed in the footsteps of her uncle, George '68, who served as alumni board president from 1981-1982, and her father, Frank '67, MS '75, MBA '78 who served as alumni board president from 1999-2000. She is also CFO for her family-owned business Eberl Iron Works, Inc.

On top of her Canisius committment, Eberl is heavily involved in the Buffalo-Niagara community.  She volunteers with the Martin House Restoration Corporation and the Greater Buffalo Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Eberl has been recognized as one of Business First's "Forty under Forty" infleuntial leaders, and belongs to the National Association of Women in Construction, the New York Society of Public Accountants, the New York Society of Professional Engineers, and the DiGamma Honor Society of Canisius College. In May of 2005 she graduated from the University of Buffalo with a second Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.


David M. Naples '70 MBA '74
Presently the commercial lines manager at United Insurance Agency, Inc., David Naples '70 MBA '74 began his insurance career at Joseph J. Naples & Associates, a family business then located at the Statler Hotel in Buffalo, NY. He soon made his mark, creating promotional campaigns for market penetration, preparing surveys for agency clients and prospects, and assisting in the development, implementation and administration of various Group Life, Disability, and Workers' Compensation Trusts.
Naples was a member of and served on several committees including the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Associated General Contractors (AGC), Niagara Frontier Builders Association (NFBA), Utility Contractors Association (UCA), and the Risk Management Committee of Western New York Off Track Betting Association.

He is presently involved in sales, surety, administration, and consulting activities for TRC clients, such as the Peace Bridge Wrap-Up Project and the South Buffalo Reclamation Project.

David J. Nasca '79
Since going public in 1997, First Niagara Bank (formerly Lockport Savings Bank) has experienced tremendous growth. It established itself in Western New York and made its mark mid-state with the acquisition of local banks in Central New York and recently announced the intended acquisition of the Troy Financial Corporation in Troy, NY. To help oversee and manage this growth, First Niagara Bank relies on members of its senior management team, like 1979 Canisius graduate David J. Nasca.

As executive vice president of consumer banking and Central New York regional executive, Nasca is responsible for 46 banking centers that stretch from Niagara Falls to Utica. He is the executive in charge of deposits and direct lending as well. Business First recognized Nasca on its “Forty Under Forty” list in 1996 for his professional accomplishments in the banking industry.

Nasca is involved in the community as well. He has served on several boards, including Cayuga Community College, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and Child & Family Services. Nasca added Canisius College to his long list of volunteer service when he joined the alumni board in July 2003.

Stephen M. Nosek '76
Steve Nosek '76 is a first vice president, financial advisor and C.F.M. at Merrill Lynch Global Private.  He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.  He is responsible for all aspects of the Williamsville, NY branch of Merrill Lynch. 

When Nosek in not in the office, he can be found on the field coaching little league baseball or volunteering for the Special Olympics of New York and Erie County, the Down Syndrome Parent Support Group and Heritage Centers.  In July 2003, Nosek added alma mater to his long list of community involvement when he joined the Canisius College Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Jennifer L. Paterson '95, MS '01
 
Currently serving as the director of creative services at Canisius College, Jennifer Paterson '95, MS '01 oversees the design of campus publications such as Canisius College Magazine. Her commitment to serving alma mater does not end there. Under her leadership as the first president of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter, the chapter held several successful events, including the receptions that preceded the men’s and women’s Niagara vs. Canisius basketball games in February 2002. Her efforts brought over 120 alumni and friends back to campus.

Jennifer Paterson joined the alumni association board in July 2003.

Scott L. Sroka '94
As a Canisius student, Scott Sroka '94 was editor-in-chief of The Griffin, a Student Senator and a member of the All-College Honors program. He received his law degree from University of Notre Dame Law School and practiced law in the litigation department of Phillips Lytle in Buffalo. Sroka now serves as Regional Representative to United States Senator Charles Schumer in Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties. He advises Senator Schumer on local issues, works with the Washington staff to promote issues and draft legislation important to Western New York.  He also serves as point of contact for Senator Schumer to local elected officials, business and community leaders and constituents.

Scott is also a member of the Board of Directors of Shakespeare in Delaware Park, the second-largest free outdoor Shakespeare festival in the country. He is one of the founding members of the New Millennium Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting civic involvement among young professionals in the Buffalo-Niagara region.
