Canisius College

Standing committees guide the activities of the board and are essential to fulfilling the board's mission and advancing the vision of the college.  Standing committees include the Nominating Committee, Recruitment Committee, Philanthropy Committee, Career Services and Mentoring Committee and the Marketing Committee. 

The board may also establish special committees for the purpose of dealing with a particular function, activity or project.  The purpose, term of existence and membership of all special committees shall be determined by the Board of Directors.  The board agreed to the formation of the Merchandise Committee for the 2004-2005 term.

The Nominating Committee selects candidates for election as officers and at-large directors.  This committee shall help determine desired board composition in terms of member's influence, diversity and talents as part of the selection process.

The Recruitment Committee increases alumni participation in the recruitment and enrollment of qualified students and alumni children.
