


Event Marketing
To build awareness of any organization, event, or activity it needs to be highly publicized in print, on the Web, and by voice. Here is a marketing timeline that will help your chapter get the most of the marketing tools Canisius and you have to offer. It’s as simple as 1-2-3!
Marketing Timeline:
Step 1
- Report all developments, events, meetings, calendars to the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) immediately after they are confirmed for publication on the Web site, in the Canisius College Magazine, and Canisius On-Line. Since the magazine and web letter are quarterly, timely information is important to ensure publication.
Step 2
- The OAR need to send invitations eight weeks before the RSVP date. This means that invitation text for all events and activities must be submitted to OAR 12 weeks before the event to allow for enough time to edit and produce the publication.
Step 3
- Distribute call lists, phone scripts and assign committee callers one month before the RSVP date.
