Anthropology

Learn Outside the Classroom

Internships, independent study opportunities and field research help students deepen their understanding of anthropology.  Through these activities, students learn to use the tools of the anthropologist, including survey research, interviews and observations of behavior in natural settings.

Internships are available at archaeological sites, historical museums, and community agencies and organizations.  Students may also pursue internships and are encouraged to consider the Canisius study abroad program.
