Sometimes it seems like a simple gesture of faith and commitment can create an echo throughout history.
In 1943, Joseph E. Driscoll wrote a letter of conscience to the student body of Canisius College. He lived by it and died for it. In his gift, the ultimate sacrifice, he gave his life to save another. Over time, his story has faded in and out of history, like a ripple still pushing out one circle at a time.
Driscoll’s story, stands as a symbol for the alumni of Canisius College and the “Greatest Generation”, who without thought of personal gain, gave themselves to preserve freedom and forge a stronger nation. Their history will not be forgotten. It is like a ripple in the pool of time, pushing out to eternity.
