Father Peter F. Cusick was born June 28, 1875 and entered the Society of Jesus July 30, 1895.
After completing his Philosophy course at Woodstock, he taught Chemistry at Holy Cross College for four years and then went to Innsbruck for his Theology. For three years he was Socius to the Master of Novices at Poughkeepsie and on May 31, 1917 was appointed Rector and Master of Novices at Poughkeepsie.
On July 16, 1923 Father Cusick was named Rector of Canisius College and held this office until 1929 when he was assigned to Woodstock as Treasurer. After a short time in this position he was named Director of the Shrine of the North American Martyrs at Auriesville.
Father Cusick died in New York City on February 7, 1939.
During his administration, the two wings were added to the main building and the Gymnasium was erected.
