Father George J. Krim was born in Boston, November 23, 1870 and entered the Society of Jesus on August 14, 1888.

His early teaching career was spent at Brooklyn Prep after which in 1902 he went to Woodstock for his Theology where he was ordained in 1905.

In 1906 he was Minister to the Community at Fordham and in 1906 is a Missionary working out of Boston.

Father Krim was appointed Rector of Canisius College on January 1, 1913. After six years in this position, on January 19, 1919 he was appointed Rector of the College in Brooklyn, serving a little more than a year.

Father Krim died as Rector of Brooklyn on April 1, 1920.

He was the last Rector of Canisius College to live on Washington Street as following the time of his office, two independent communities were established. The Student Army Training Corps was set up at Canisius during his tenure in World War I.
