Canisius College Gambling Policy

The NCAA opposes all forms of legal and illegal sports wagering, which has the potential to undermine the integrity of sports contests and jeopardizes the welfare of student-athletes and the intercollegiate athletics community.  Canisius College maintains a similar policy to the one provided by the NCAA and it is imperative that all know and abide by Canisius College’s regulations pertaining to gambling.

·        You may not knowingly provide information to individuals involved in any type of organized gambling activities concerning intercollegiate athletics competition.

·        You may not solicit a bet on ANY intercollegiate OR professional team.

·        You may not accept a bet on any team or participate in any gambling activity that involves intercollegiate athletics or professional athletics through a bookmaker, a parlay card, or any other method employed by “organized gambling”.
