My favorite biological phenomenon: Behavior is always fascinating to observe. I find parental behavior particularly interesting: it’s so critical for survival, yet so complicated. How does any organism succeed?
My favorite aspect of teaching: I love trying to incorporate some “outside the box” activities and ideas into classes. I also enjoy listening to students.
Why I chose Biology: I always wanted to study animal behavior, and biology was the route I chose to allow me to pursue this fascination.
My hobbies: Cooking, visiting zoos, baseball, family.
My source of inspiration: Charles Darwin. Talk about seeing the big picture!
