My favorite biological phenomenon: The mechanisms of epigenetics. Understanding how our genetic information is regulated, excluding DNA mutations, is fascinating. How the environment influences our genetics intrigues me.
My favorite aspect of teaching: I love the expression on students’ faces when they understand something they’ve struggled with (also known as the “I get it!” moment).
Why I chose Biology: I love puzzles and understanding biological processes is one big puzzle.
My hobbies: Reading and Puzzles.
My source of inspiration: I am inspired by Gregor Mendel, for putting together the first pieces of the genetic puzzle.
