My favorite biological phenomenon: How people learn and the effect of different types of exercise on skeletal and cardiac muscle are the phenomena I find interesting. How can instructors help students become life long learners and what are the effects of different types of exercise on skeletal and cardiac muscle physiology and why are there these effects are the two major questions which I will continue to study.
My favorite aspect of teaching: My favorite aspect of teaching is when students learn how to ask appropriate questions about the material covered in class and when students can link content from a previous course accurately to the material they are learning.
Why I chose Biology: I have always been fascinated with living organisms, how they work, and the diversity of organisms.
My hobbies: Reading, Skiing, Swimming, Skiing, and Canoeing.
My source of inspiration: My grandfather, a farmer and teacher, my father, a thoracic surgeon (MD/Ph.D.), and my mother, a geneticist.
