Zoo biology minors have access to exciting learning opportunities outside the classroom.  An important element of the program is the opportunity for hands-on field experiences.

Students can serve as apprentice zookeepers at the nearby zoo or aquarium.

They may assist in ongoing zoo-based research.

Or they can customize projects of their own.

Please note however that eligibility for these experiences depends in part upon the availability of positions at host institutions.  A student must gain faculty sponsorship by excelling in appropriate background courses and by demonstrating prerequisite work habits, demeanor and reliability.  Interested students should consult Dr. Noonan for details.
