Accountability in Action

This session has closed.

Accountability...nearly every manager wants it.  Clearly, every business needs it, yet so few achieve it.  Some may succeed at "holding others accountable" but managers who routinely employ that strategy actually hold their companies back.

The path to success is in creating an environment in which individuals and teams hold themselves accountable.  Both management and non-management employees play a critical role in the process; neither can create nor sustain accountability without the active involvement of the other.

Overview

Accountability in Action is a highly interactive session that incorporates assessments; peer discussion, guided discovery and a variety of tools and techniques participants can use to foster a healthy accountability culture in their workplace.  Participants will test their understanding and apply their learning to their own real world examples.  Throughout the session, attendees will work with a partner to focus on their specific issues, insights and learn from one another's experiences.

By the end of this solutions-based clinic, participants will have:

  • Developed a shared understanding of "accountability" and how to promote it
  • Identified which of the four MAIN Accountability Cultures they believe they have
  • Determined their success factors and roadblocks
  • Drafted an action plan to support accountability in themselves and/or organizations
