Habitat for Humanity/Canisius College Chapter

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing organization. Habitat works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to pre-qualified families at no profit and with no interest charged while Habitat holds the mortgages.

The Canisius Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is a student chapter which partners with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo--the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

The Canisius group works with HFH/Buffalo most Saturdays of the school year.

Did you know?
  • HFH/Buffalo is one of the largest HFH builders in the northeast.

  • Canisius College donated two homes to HFH/Buffalo.  The homes are adjacent to the college and were formally used as student residences.  Canisius students, faculty, and staff worked alongside the future home owners and Habitat staff to renovate the houses. The homes are now occupied by families.
