team Mexico

May 26-June 6, 2010 (tentative dates)

This is a two week immersion trip into the heart of Mexico City. We enjoy the hospitality of Dominican nuns while spending our mornings working with the mentally and physically disabled at one of the homes of Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity.

Our afternoons are spent engaging children from an impoverished neighborhood in crafts, games, and sports in a day camp we create. On the weekend, we explore museums, cathedrals and cuisines in Mexico City, climb the pyramids of Teotihuacán, and spend one afternoon swimming in a local watering hole. The language spoken in Mexico is Spanish, although students are not required to know any Spanish to go on the trip.
