Music at Mass with the Contemporary Music Ensemble
The Canisius College Contemporary Music Ensemble is comprised of both Canisius students and non-Canisius students who lead our congregation in song every Sunday evening at the 9:30 Mass. The group also leads music for special masses on campus, such as the Mass of the Holy Spirit, the President's Mass, and the Baccalaureate Mass for our graduating seniors.
Currently the group has about 20 members, and it continues to grow! In the past, the group has had guitars, flutes, violin, cello, bass and drums play along with them. We are always looking for instrumentalists who would like to share their talent with the church community on campus. Singers, of course are ALWAYS welcome!
Rehearsals are held in Christ the King Chapel every Thursday evening at 7 and every Sunday night at 8, right before Mass. "Come and make a joyful noise!!"
