The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life

This retreat boils down the Jesuit 30 Day Retreat into an eight month process adapted to our high speed culture.  Participants pray daily, talk weekly with a competent Spiritual Companion and learn how to become closer to God, more aware of their meaningful mission in life, and they find their true selves.  It begins in September, but individuals can enter the retreat on their own almost anytime but the summer.

The First Experience

This prayer experience invites people gently into deepening their current spiritual life.  This call to go little deeper with God is a hand-crafted retreat for each individual.  You meet with a competent Spiritual Companion and discuss ways to begin exploring that something “more” at a pace that is suitable for each person.  There are many ways to do this and it deepens spirituality of any kind.   Participants can join any time, as individuals or groups.  Ignatian Spiritual Exercises are introduced at times.

Questions about the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life and the First Experience can be directed to Father Tom Colgan at x2488 or colgant@canisius.edu. More information can also be found here.
