Campus Ministry Immersion (CMI) Week – August 22-27, 2015

CMI is a special five-day introduction to Canisius, Campus Ministry, Buffalo and the spirit of our Jesuit, Catholic University.  It is open to the freshmen class of 2019, as well as transfer and exchange students.

Campus Ministry Immersion Week is a chance for up to 20 select freshmen from the class of 2019 to start college five days early and receive a special orientation to the activities and spirit of Canisius. This is a great opportunity for the incoming class of 2019 to meet their classmates and experience our campus community.

CMI: Buffalo will give students the opportunity to not only learn about Buffalo but partake in the essence of Campus Ministry through local service, justice activities, prayer and a retreat.  Campus Ministry supports the religious, spiritual, and service aspects of the college. The office organizes domestic and international service-immersion experiences, local service activities, religious services, spiritual retreats, peace and justice activities, and other great things.

Resident students will move in during the first day. Commuters will commute. The program ends after breakfast the day that Orientation begins. Freshmen then immediately transition into Orientation. All meals and program transportation will be provided. A $100 fee will be required of participants to cover the cost of food and transportation. The fee is due upon acceptance to the program. Scholarships are available.

Applications for the 2015 CMI program are available on the student portal. Applications are due by Friday, July 3. They will be processed the week of July 5.
