Liturgical Life

Join us for mass in Christ the King Chapel every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., or weekdays at 12:05 p.m. People of all faiths are welcome to attend our services. Don’t miss the special outdoor “Mass on the Grass” at the start of the year, the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Baccalaureate Mass, and other special gatherings for worship.

If you'd like someone to be remembered in prayer through a mass card or prayer request, please contact the main office or stop by. We offer mass cards for a $10 donation. We also offer "prayer requests" through printed notices and emails, if desired.

Liturgical Ministers

Take an active role in our worship by serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector or Hospitality Minister or helping the Liturgy Committee plan upcoming seasonal event

The Canisius College Contemporary Music Ensemble is comprised of both Canisius students and non-Canisius students who lead our congregation in song every Sunday evening at the 9:30 Mass. The group also leads music for special masses on campus, such as the Mass of the Holy Spirit, the President's Mass, and the Baccalaureate Mass for our graduating seniors.

Currently the group has about 20 members, and continues to grow. In the past, the group has had guitars, flutes, violin, cello, bass and drums play along with them. Along with singers, we are always looking for instrumentalists who would like to share their talent with the church community on campus.

Rehearsals are held in Christ the King Chapel every Thursday evening at 7 and every Sunday night at 8, before Mass.

Christian Life Community

Christian Life Communities (CLCs) invite students to encounter God in their everyday lives and to reflect on these experiences together in small groups.  Comprised of 4-10 people that meet weekly, CLCs offer students a safe space to share their lives together, to pray together, to reflect on how God is working in them and through them, to discuss issues of faith and justice and to listen to where God is calling them beyond Canisius. Join this club today!
