Campus Ministry Retreats

On retreat, students deal with spiritual questions and form community. Our retreats are based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignaius which have been used by people of all faiths. Students can sign up or learn more about each retreat in the Campus Ministry office in OM207. Students may also register online.

The following is a list of retreats planned for the 2014-2015 academic year:


Cradle Beach
Saturday, September 6th from 11am-11pm
This retreat gives first year students a chance to focus during all the changes and challenges of the first weeks of college life. First year commuters, residents, and transfer students are welcome to attend. Transportation and meals are provided!

"Finding God in all things" is the basis for this Ignatian-based weekend retreat. Kairos alumnae said, “it [Kairos] has redefined my faith and belief in others” … "expect the unexpected and you’ll become open to the incredible spirit you possess inside” … "a place to let go and just ‘be’." Transportation is provided.

This weekend retreat will give students who are searching for or recognizing their sexual orientation as gay, lesbian or bisexual, or who are LGBT allies, an opportunity to ask questions, discuss issues and listen to other’s stories in a safe and open environment. It is open to Canisius College undergraduate and graduate students.

Erie Benedictine Community
April 10-11, 2015
FEE: $25 - students; $50 – affiliates
This overnight, inclusive experience, open to all the women of Canisius College and the women in their lives, is an opportunity to share spirit, diverse faith backgrounds, tradition and prayer. Using rituals from various traditions, sharing the wisdom of the participants and enjoying humor and relaxation together will heighten our awareness of the wonder of our womanhood and our spiritual lives.

Camp Pioneer

Students will carpool to Camp Pioneer in Angola for a day of fun, reflection and celebration of their accomplishments. Come and relax and enjoy a walk on the beach and celebration with friends.
