If you want to live and learn with students who share your similar interests, then consider Canisius’ freshman themed housing.  Whether your interest lies in science, spirituality or creative writing, themed housing gives you the room to experience independence, a strong sense of community, and opportunities to learn more about and promote common interests

  • CREATIVITY IN ACTION FLOOR – Nourish your creativity for writing, music, theater, dancing, or other art forms on the creativity in action floor of Frisch Hall.  Here, you and your peers can experience the local arts scene and strengthen your talents through a variety of programs and field trips.
  • IGNATIAN FLOOR – Deepen your commitment to spirituality, community and justice on the Ignatian floor of Frisch Hall.  Under this guidance of a Canisius Jesuit, this living and learning environment challenges you to think about your role in the greater community.
  • FRESHMAN HONORS – Expand your mind and your heart when you live on the freshman honors floor in Bosch Hall.  Reserved solely for first-year students in the All-College Honors Program, this living and learning arrangement encourages community and camaraderie among Canisius’ best-of-the-best.
  • SCIENCE FLOOR – The science community is open to students interested in science regardless of major. Activities and programs ease the challenge of difficult coursework. Conquer a subject with study groups, on-floor exam review, and explore science on trips throughout the city. Cross-curricular engagement will help you think from new perspectives and find unconventional solutions to every challenge you face.
