Tuition Discount: Canadian Students (Graduate School of Education & Human Services)
Canisius College offers a 20 percent tuition discount to Canadian students with bachelor's degrees pursuing teacher certification or other graduate degrees at Canisius. Current rates are effective May 2013. For students in the Childhood and Adolescence Education programs, the tuition rate is guaranteed for two years from the term of entry.
Graduate tuition (Summer 2013-Spring 2014) in the School of Education and Human Services is $750 per credit hour. With the tuition discount, the rate for Canadian students is $600 per credit hour.
The following is an example of how the discount may be applied in the childhood education program for a student with a 4-year honors degree:

Note: candidates with 3-year degrees will be required to complete the master's degree program before applying for certification. This will require one additional course (3 credit hours). Total tuition and fees for the childhood master's program is $26,091 (US) for 42 credit hours.
The following is an example of how the discount may be applied in the adolescence program (all students) or the physical education programs for a student with a 4-year honors degree:

Note: Business & Education candidates will be required to complete two additional courses for the master's degree program before applying for certification (total = 39 credit hours). Physical Education candidates with 3-year degrees will be required to complete two additional courses for master's degree program before applying for certification (total = 39 credit hours). Total tuition and fees for these 39 credit hours programs is $24,291 (US).
